Services

Children's and Youth Services

HBHS provides therapeutic services to children in Hinds County ages 3-18 with emotional and behavioral problems. A variety of services are available, provided by Master's level therapists and Bachelor's level case managers. These services include:

  • Initial Screenings to determine the need for mental health related treatment and/or linkage to appropriate services
  • Initial Intake (opening of the case)
  • Family Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Case Management
  • Parent Education
  • Psychiatric Evaluation/Medication Evaluation

 

Services are available during regular business hours and extended hours as needed and available.

Many of our services are provided at the child's school and/or home, at the HBHS Center, or in the community. We also provide services at the Henley-Young Juvenile Justice Center.

These therapeutic services are a part of the continuum of services provided by the Hinds Behavioral Health Services to meet the mental health and wellness needs of the residents of Hinds County. For more information about services for children, please call (601)321-2400.
