Position: Facilities Technician

Department: Support Services

Job Summary: The Facilities Technician performs a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in building maintenance and basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products required. Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. Must have a valid Mississippi Commercial driver’s license (Class D) with good driving history and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have a low to moderate risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Department: Medical Services

Job Summary: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides medical care to all age groups with mental health disorders and/or chemical dependency disorders. In addition, the Nurse provides dignostic and therapeutic psychiatric services to Hinds Behavioral Health Services (HBHS) consumers, while making reasonable and sound Psychological /psychiatric assesments and treament plans.

Qualifications: Must be licensed in the State of Mississippi as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Board certification required. Accepted or eligible to be accepted by all major insurance providers. Previous experience in a chemical dependency treatment or mental health setting preferred. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers' individual needs based on medical condition, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents and young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary.

Position: Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist III

Department: Community Services

Job Summary: Assumes responsibility for planning, providing, documenting and reporting on participation in work units, recreational and social activities and employment placement services as member of the Clubhouse staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working in the units, supporting, and or applying the treatment/service plan and facilitating compliance.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field and experience as a clinician. Must been licensed or certified as a mental health professional. Requires flexibility regarding working conditions and assignments, good oral and written communication skills and thorough knowledge of psychiatric disorders and corresponding treatment. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
