Position: Coordinator of Treatment Services

Department: Treatment Team

Job Summary: Assists in the development and implementation of the policies, practices and program plans of the service managed. Creates an environment conducive to high-quality consumer care. Focuses on the delivery and evaluation of care. Provides clinical supervision of the adult services program and staff.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required, along with three years experience in a mental health services delivery setting and at least one year supervisory experience. Must possess a mental health license or certification, or be eligible for such. LCSW, LMSW or LPC preferred. If without a current license, a Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCMHT) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and CMHT must be obtained within 2 years for the date of hire. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Requires good communication skills. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Position: Community Support Specialist I/Adult Services

Department: Community Services

Job Summary: Functions as a case manager for an assigned caseload of adults with serious and persistent mental disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting, developing and/or applying the treatment/service plan and facilitating compliance. Serves as a member of appropriate interdisciplinary treatment team. Reports to Coordinator of Community Support Services.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required. A Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must be acquired and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and (CSSP) must be obtained within 2 years from the date of hire. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance.

Position: Medical Records Clerk

Department: Medical Records

Job Summary: Locates, logs, delivers, retrieves, and files medical records as required. Maintains establish departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety. Delivers and retrieves consumer charts from clinics practitioners; establishes and maintain files and records on an ongoing basis. Answers telephone and gives routine information.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in medical record keeping is desirable. Necessary skills include filing, typing and organizational skills.

Position: Peer Support Specialist (2 part-time positions)

Department: Treatment Team

Job Summary: The Peer Specialist will perform a wide range of tasks to assist peers of all ages in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as role models to peers, helping other consumers with skill building, goal setting, problem-solving and finding resources. This position is grant-based.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be a current or former consumer; first degree family member of an individual who has received treatment and self-identifies as a consumer or former mental health consumer. Must have demonstrated a minimum of six (6) months, (preferably twelve (12) months), in self-directed recovery. Must have completed at least one of the DMH peer training programs such as, Family-to-Family or Family Time Out. Must successfully pass the Certified Peer Support Specialist after the completion of training. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance.

Position: Support Services Clerk

Department: Support Services

Job Summary: Performs cashier duties, handles accounts for all consumers, collects fees and payment information from consumers. Must be able to operate various office equipment; such as PC, multi-line phone system, copier, facsimile, and printer. Answer incoming phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate extensions; take messages and monitor schedules of staff; acts as receptionist for consumers and controls traffic flow between consumers and physicians; make appointments and keep daily schedules accurate.
